Received an "under consideration" 30-day emergency extension stamp dated April 16.
On April 13 (today), I was told to return on April 16 or 17.
What I learned:
1. Samui will not grant second stamp early
2. In Samui, visa holders (NOT TOURIST TYPES) must return for the follow up stamp.
3. Samui will not stamp you as an over stay NOR will they charge you overstay fee if + 1 day from stamp date.
4. There are no fees for second stamp
5. there is no documentation required for second stamp (aside from your passport, obviously)
Keep in mind, I did not get my second stamp yet and things could change by the end of the week. ๐
Also, please don't ask me for advise on your specific situation as I am not an expert, just reporting in what I learned today.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat provided an update about their experience with Samui immigration concerning their non-B visa, which expired on April 1. They received a 30-day emergency extension stamp on April 16 and shared several important points: second stamps cannot be granted early, visa holders must return for the follow-up, no overstay penalties apply until after one day from the stamp date, no fees are charged for the second stamp, and only a passport is needed for the follow-up. They noted that situations might change before they receive their second stamp.
