Hi everyone, after help from this site and information gathered from other research, I got my 90 day non O visa stamp based on retirement yesterday from Laem Ngob immigration office Trat province. I arrived on a 45 day visa exemption 12th March, applied at the office with the required documents a couple of weeks later, (had to photocopy a couple more at a shop around the corner), was told to call on the 12th April to check everything had gone through. Songkran probably delayed it, but no probs as I'd applied in plenty of time. The officers were extremely helpful and friendly. I have a Thai partner who helped at the office which made things easier, but all in all, having done the research and having the required funds it was a doddle compared to applying for a travel visa for my Thai partner to go to the UK. That was horrendous in comparison. Cheers.
