The advantage of having the STV is the COE application can be completed in minutes, passport came back within 4 days also. All in all, great service from the London embassy.

All thats needed now is covid test and F2F >>> I apologise as ive asked this before, but like to know where people are getting their RT-PCR Covid tests from? ideally those travelling from north west England?? Ive found one for £145 but adamant I can get it cheaper.

This is a big help, thanks Mike 🙏🙏. I will book with them, seems to be 50 pounds cheaper than the average clinics. Did the check in process at Manchester airport go smoothly?

yeah I’ve had a look at the online form and the appointments only go up to the end of the month, so I’ll have to wait a bit longer to book in, but I’ve got the idea on how to arrange it now. Thanks for the advice 😃

I’ve not heard any horror stories at Manchester airport yet, so I think it’s still ok to travel without interrogation. Definitely using dr Donna. When did you first make contact with her? Is it something that needs to be done well in advance?
Mike *******
@Jeff ********
i contacted her day of test then paid once got negative result she needs that to put on her certificate

I also saw on one of these groups that through boots, they can't guarantee that it'll state "RC-PCR" on the slip, so im a bit concerned about that, wondering if anyone has gone down this route yet..?
Abby *********
@Jeff ********
oh really? my friends brother used them and his certificate definitely said RT-PCR 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Jeff ********
Here just found it!

@Abby ********
thanks for that I'm thinking about using Boots being somewhat isolated in Devon Good to see they show sample taken and test taken dates so I assume the important date is test taken
Abby *********
@Jeff ********
No problem, we’re pretty limited in testing options where i am too so it’s good to know! Yes i think the sample taken and time will be the start of the 72 hours
Jeff *********
@Abby ********
I think the 72 hours is from test taken
Abby *********
@Jeff ********
Yeah there seems to be a lot of conflicting info around the timings!

Jeff *********

Do you need an insurance policy in place before you apply for STV? Also do you have to know your exact flight dates
