Switzerland now requires a negative Covid PCR test for everybody wanting to take a plane back to Switzerland. Even when coming from Thailand, which is mightily silly. So, does anyone know where I could go in Bangkok to get a PCR test done and have the results within 24 hours?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is looking for locations in Bangkok to obtain a COVID-19 PCR test with results available within 24 hours before their flight back to Switzerland. Various hospitals and clinics have been recommended, including Piyavate Hospital, Bangkok Hospital, and MedConsult, with prices ranging from 2500 to 3800 THB. Some community members discussed the necessity of the test, considering the low COVID-19 cases in Thailand, while others defended the precautions as sensible.

Just been back in Ch yesterday from Thailand. Piyavate hospital was my good choice. Came at 8 am and had the result by 5 pm the same day. Friendly and professional staff. 2500 thb for RT PCR in English and add 500 thb if you want a fit to fly (which you don't need to enter Switzerland).

They ask to see your test at check in .....but nothing has been asked to me when I passed immigration at zh airport ....

Thanks so much. This sounds perfect.

Not silly at all ! All responsible countries are now doing this and have been for some time .

It is silly, because my chances of winning the lottery are better than me catching COVID in Thailand and then testing positive just before flying home. A responsible approach would differentiate the country of departure and not waste precious test resources.

that is a stupid answer , sorry . These countries are being sensible and making sure that you are not a carrier . That are being prudent and cautious as they should be , cant handle it , dont go .

You do know that 1 in 3 people are A-symptomatic, ie showing no symptoms of covid but still able to transmit it.

I do know that and I get your point, but there are just not enough active Covid cases in Thailand for this to matter.

But with that being said. I agree that Iโ€™m being unnecessarily bitchy about this. I am very grateful for the assistance.
