This discussion revolves around the costs and experiences of obtaining COVID-19 tests in Bangkok, specifically mentioning Baumgardner Hospital. Users share insights that prices vary significantly, with recommendations for alternative facilities like Medconsult and comments on the necessity of PCR versus antigen tests for entry into the USA. The general consensus highlights that the prices at Baumgardner (4200 Baht) are perceived as high compared to other options (as low as 2000 Baht) in Bangkok.
Most do not understand that Bumrungrad is the most expensive private hospital in Thailand. They see their advertisements of being English speaking not knowing that every licensed doctor in Thailand speaks English.

DrDonna Robinson MedConsult 2000 baht same day service including Cert.
our same day service PCR test is 2000 baht if you get tested before 10am. If you arrive after this time and need a result same day we can get it to you in 7 hrs no matter when you come in to get tested for 3500 baht. This is where your confusion is I guess
that's about standard price in UK. Would be almost double for same day service but he didn't need it anyway unless his airline is asking for it as USA take antigen for entry
I live in Cornwall. Having to get a pre-departure rt-Pcr sorted before March. The cheapest for next day results down here is £129!! Friggin extortion!! 🤬 🥴. It’s bloody cheaper to drive up earlier and organise a 3 hr test at Heathrow!!
-Whoa ! Chill! He’s just taking a piss( is that the term you guys use for f’ng with some body?).These are complicated times and for someone like myself who isn’t a computer wizard and grappling with dementia it’s an imperative to maintain an even keel and stay focused.
Thank you David...but I fail to see what he wrote can be described as being of a "humerus" nature. ..especially the bit...",What's your interest here" ?
what is it that you think he were doing then? Advertising for the hospital? Did you read what I said? He can get the same service for 60 percent off. What's your interest here?

Keef Newham My interest here is that I have lived the past 23 years in Thailand and waiting to get back to my home there when things become more easy to travel..... not that it is any business of yours.. You seem to be an angry person judging by the manner of your reply, I'm sorry for whatever happened to you to cause you to be like that...In my country we have a saying... "It's nice to be nice".
