Hi, I need some advice regarding Covid Visa Exemption for another 60 days.

My stamps:

* 2 MAR 2020 - 30 d. Visa Exemption (arrival)

* 31 MAR 2020 - 30 d. TR Extension

* 22 SEP 2020 - NON-IMMIGRANT - category "ED"

* 22 SEP 2020 - 3 m. NON-ED

* 30 NOV 2020 - 3 m. Extension

* 15 MAR 2021 - 3 m. Extension

* 16 JUN 2021 - 3 m. Extension

* 16 SEP 2021 - Cancelled ED, applied for 2 m. Covid Exemption

* 15 NOV 2021 - 2 m. Covid Exemption

* 14 JAN 2021 - 2 m. Covid Exemption

The latest is due on 15 MAR 2021, I would like to get the Covid Exemption again for the last time as my plan to return to my country (Slovakia) is in May.

What are my chances of getting it? I heard that each immigration office is handling this differently. If so, would you please suggest going to Phuket Immigration, where I did all of my visas before, or would my chances be better let's say in Bangkok... or somewhere else?

Thank you for any help, much appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking advice on obtaining an additional Covid Visa Exemption extension after their current extension expires on March 15, 2021, considering they have transitioned from a non-immigrant visa. Community responses indicate that eligibility for further Covid exemptions is unlikely due to previously holding a NON-IMMIGRANT visa. Some responders suggest the process can vary between immigration offices, mentioning that Phuket may be more lenient than Bangkok, while others stress the importance of having a departure ticket or a letter from the embassy. Overall, the consensus leans towards not being able to extend further without facing difficulties.

Seems that there's no way of getting Covid exemption anymore if one has some non-immigrant ED stamp. Have to leave for Cambodia or perhaps Singapore to make a visa run.

@Roman ******
do you have letter from your embassy ?

my embassy never been able to do it for me

my embassy gave me a letter today. Don’t know if it will work. Otherwise pay for Covid tests, go to Cambodia and back.

right now it’s work, everything you need is a letter from your Embassy. It’s more important

looks that would turn you to the same situation I'm in. If you can extend your ED that would be much better I think.

Hi, unfortunately I can't about that bc I'm graduated from grade 12 and the university will give me the letter of acceptance in June so I'm still thinking so hard which type of visa I can hold until them.

You cant get the covid extention again because you've come off a Non Imm visa. You can get 7 days from the 15th March for 1900bt then you gotta leave the Country or get tangled up with dodgy agents

Thank you all for your fast help. If I have a flight ticket with me dated around 13 MAY, can it help?

@Roman ******
you must get a letter from your embassy. A departure ticket will not suffice. I tried last week....

The only way to extend is a letter from your embassy.

Agents will try and charge you 20k or promise they can do it but actually cannot.

This is my experience the past 3 weeks

I called my embassy today, they were not willing to help, even after I told them that I am worried and would like to stay a bit longer because of the current situation in our neighborhood - Ukraine, they told me they have nothing to do about this. But I will try my luck again. Thank you for letting me know and nice to hear that some embassies are actually helping their citizens. So did you get some letter from your embassy, or how did you managed it?

@Roman ******
oh no

My embassy said no too. USA :(

Sorry for what's happening in your country. Stay safe and strong 💪

yesterday immigration said me than the most important to extend is the visa you enter with ( tourist visa or exemption )

I entered with exemption but in 2020. Where did they said it? Thanks for sharing your experience :)

I was in Phuket immigration on 25th and they were turning anyone applying for covid extension away. Saying they are not doing it any more. Only select cases are getting. I was given 2 months on TR visa but been similar time to you with alot of extensions. I was given 2 months as was just starting process to change to Non-O marriage visa.

Unfortunately you don't qualify for it. You can take your chances on the day it expires but have a Plan B in place, as you will probably get the "seven days to leave" stamp
Stuart *********
If you’ve had a non immigrant visa/extension since entry then you cannot (officially) get another covid extension.

Perhaps Phuket may be more “relaxed” than Bangkok but I would doubt it. Perhaps others with direct experience with either can say for sure.
