I'm sorry if this has been asked already, but I'm a little confused about the different visa types.

I'm an American and entered Thailand on July 1st with a 45-day visa exemption.

I did one 30 day extension and three 60-day COVID extensions.

Am I eligible for another COVID extension on March 12th, or will this be more problematic now with the new rules?

Thank you 🙏.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An American expat, who entered Thailand on a 45-day visa exemption, is seeking clarification about the eligibility for another COVID extension after already extending their stay multiple times. The community response indicates eligibility for another extension, though it varies depending on the immigration officer's discretion and the new rules that have come into effect.

only people on visas on arrival (which you do NOT have) and Non-Immgrant type visas/extensions are prohibited from applying for a covid extension during this new program that runs until March 25th. So you are totally able to apply for another one (y)

Now could it be more problematic getting the extension? Certainly could be and they could require proof you're leaving in another 2 months or they might not even ask. It's just a crap shoot really. 😕

I would definitely have a plan B in case you are denied another 60 day covid extension when you go apply and are given a 7 days get outta dodge stamp instead 😮 .

You are eligible as you entered visa exempt. However it’s up to the immigration officer to grant one. That being said no reports of them not being granted (except to VOA and non immigrant visa entries ) although they’re seemingly making it tougher to get.
