Hii has anyone applied DTV from Spain? I see everyone is applying from border countries and I am not sure if my chances of being approved are lower from here. This is my choice. Soft muay thai course 1 month tiger eye gym Bangkok. Any advice is appreciated thanks 👍👍

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around applying for a Muay Thai DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) from Spain rather than a neighboring country. Concerns are raised about the challenges of applying for a one-month training program, as many embassies require a longer commitment (minimum six months) and may demand additional documentation that isn't clearly stated on their websites. The conversation includes suggestions to contact the embassy directly for guidance and highlights the importance of ongoing training to avoid complications with visa extensions and entry into Thailand.

Your plan to do one month of Muay Thai for a 5-year visa will likely cause issues at some point. The purpose of a Muay Thai DTV is to actively train in Muay Thai.

1. Many embassies refuse applications for only one month.

2. Extensions in Thailand require proof of ongoing training.

3. Border officials may ask questions when crossing.

4. Document checks at the border are possible but not common (I've heard of at least one case).

Better call the embassy before applying- I have Spanish Citizenship and i was planning to apply from Madrid Embassy before - I called them and you have to provide more requirements than their website. I applied via Athens instead, having a Maltese resident card ( coz i was living/working there when I applied online ) 🙏
