Cross the bridge at Mukdahan and a tuk tuk costs 150 baht to the office. A hotel for the night near immigration is around 400 baht.

There are plenty of better places to stay in town than some drab hotel near the border, but your advice is good for those short on time and who aren't very picky. I personally prefer staying in the tourist areas as the quality of accommodation and services is superior.Stephen *******************
