Consulate requires a departure ticket as well. Which city is best to visa-run from CM to insure best chance for immediate reentry? How soon should I depart for the visa run before 3 month expiration? On entry you will get 60 days of stay, you can apply at local Immigration for extension for 30 days and than leave to Vientiane for a new Visa. Vientiane Laos is the most easy Consulate in the area.

The validity of the visa is 3 months but will only get you stamped into Thailand for 60 days. Your options to extend or apply for another visa are wide open. Personally Id go for Vientiane, Laos for another single entry tourist visa
