What are some legitimate agencies or resources for teaching English and obtaining retirement visas in Thailand?

Can anyone recommend a legitimate agency to apply with to teach English in Thailand? Please only respond if you have actually used the agency and know they are legit. I have a couple of them that I'm looking at but it looks like they mostly place in Bangkok and I am interested in Hua Hin. (Yes, I have checked the search but people seem to feel more comfortable with private messaging rather than posting the names publicly, so feel free to message me) Thanks! Also, if anyone has a recommendation for agents for retirement visas (for my parents) too that would also be super helpful!! Thanks again.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking recommendations for a legitimate agency to apply for teaching English in Thailand, specifically in Hua Hin. They also request information about agents for obtaining retirement visas for their parents. Comments provide alternatives, such as using ajarn.com for job listings as many reputable schools prefer not to use agencies. Additionally, advice is shared regarding the straightforward nature of retirement visas and guidance on visa types suitable for their parents.

Retirement visas are straightforward, meet the criteria and you get them. No need for any agency. I'm assuming your parents are married, if so one may be able to piggy back on the other with a dependent visa but you can't get them inside Thailand so I'd suggest 1 gets a Non-O based on being over 50 (retirement visa) and the other gets a Non-O based on being their dependent before leaving their home country. I'd also get their marriage certificate authenticated before leaving their home country.

Ajarn.com is what you want to use. Most good schools don't use agents to find teachers. As long as you have a university degree, in anything, you won't have problems, as you can not legally teach, get the required work permit, without one. As for an agency that is good for your parents visa needs Thai Visa Centre is very good.
