TLDR : Answer Summary
For a retirement visa in Thailand, the requirement is 800,000 Baht in a Thai bank account per person. However, if a married couple is applying, the spouse applying as a dependent of a retirement visa holder does not need to meet this 800,000 Baht requirement.

Funds of 800K baht in a Thai bank account are required for each applicant for a visa/extension based on retirement.
