Does anyone know if Thailand are accepting the English NHS Covid Recovery QR code as proof of recovery? The website says medical certificate. But I've called the NHS phone line and they seem to think this is the same thing. Thanks ✌️

i used mine last week with a positive pcr.

no problem on qatar airways and no problem entering thailand.

after all, thats what it is for so why pay 100 quid for some random doctor to say youre ok?

thanks mate that's we wanted to hear. We are hearing horror stories of Thailand not accepting the NHS recovery pass. And other stories of testing positive with recovery code and still being sent to thai hospital for isolation and being charged a small fortune. We get that our insurance will cover the costs but obviously not ideal. Did you enter using the Sandbox programme?

things are a lot more relaxed here than people are making out.

i think even thailand is starting to accept that omicron is not too bad and now the dominant strain..if people are made to isolate most now seem to be at a hotel ..hospital only for sick or vunerable

yes i leave phuket tomorrow.

i heard all these horror stories as well and just got to the stage of " bugger it" see what happens.

it really was not an issue..both the airline and immigration had no problem with the nhs certificate and my positive test.

when i got there i gave the lady at the test centre a copy and she took details so if my day 1 test was positive it would be on record that id recovered.

also at hotel they did same..lady at hotel told me thered be no problem unless i had a very bad fever .

ironically i tested negative in thailand!!

but i felt confident i would be ok if positive.

it makes you wonder why you even need tests if youre recovered! anyway, the link to follow is latest thai govt guidance..last para makes it clear.

hope this helps!

OK that may be a problem we may have to put the flights back a little. We have just got the recovery pass. But hey its only another 2 weeks to wait. I bet we are negative by then as well. Just our luck. Thanks a lot for your help mate. Absolute legend.

If you scan the QR code, does it take you to a website with something that resembles a medical certificate that you can print out?
