TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM.6 Arrival/Departure Card consists of two parts: an arrival card that you submit upon entry into Thailand and a departure card that you retain until your exit. Both parts of this card share the same barcode and contain identical identifying numbers.

The TM.6 Arrival/Departure Card is a two part card, you give them the arrival card when you get here and you keep the departure card for when you leave. They have the same barcode along with 2 letters & 5 numbers on BOTH parts of the card.

Who is asking for your Card Number?

Okay, the TM 6 is the arrival/departure card. On arrival the Immigration Officer takes the arrival part and gives you the departure part back with your passport.

When you fill in form T47 for staying longer then 90 days, they want to know your arrival card number, but you only have departure card attached to your passport.

That’s why I ask.
