TLDR : Answer Summary
The 24th of October is not a public holiday in Thailand. It is celebrated as Awk Phansa, marking the end of Buddhist Lent, but it does not qualify as a government holiday, meaning government workers do not get the day off. Immigration offices will be open on this day.

and I think we just beat this topic to death

to summarize

Tomorrow (the 23rd) the Immigration Offices are CLOSED

The Day After Tomorrow (the 24th) the Immigration Offices are OPEN

Tomorrow is a government holiday.

I'm actually confused when this holiday is. For sure tomorrow as my GF is a Goverment worker and she is not working BUT then I keep seeing this which i cannot see on any calendar for public holidays.

yes but i couldn't see it listed that was what was confusing me. So i guess tomorrow isn't a 'Dry' day? I don't drink but all these notices were throwing me.

@Ron ******

yes mate. Thats tomorrow

right, the 23rd is Chula day (rama 5) and the 24th is the end of buddhist lent

Those are two separate holidays entirely.

one is a govt holiday and one is a buddhist day where there's no alcohol sold BUT government offices are open.

23rd is a holiday as well - Chulalongkorn Day

The 24th is Awk Phansa, the end of Buddhist lent.

Yep. Just a no booze day :/

which is NOT a government holiday ;) it's a buddhist one and that doesn't let government workers get the day off. :/
