I had an education visa made in September 2020 and I got the stamp in image 1 as well as the normal stamp for 3 months.

However, this year, when renewing my ED visa with another school, I only got the stamp in image 2 for a year.

Is this normal? Maybe the stamp in image 1 is only for the very first time? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing an education visa in Thailand, it is normal to receive a different stamp compared to the first issuance. The first stamp typically indicates an in-country visa, while the later stamp represents an extension of stay based on education, which can be valid for one year.

Totally normal, first image you got an incountry VISA, and in image 2 that is an EXTENSION OF STAY based on education for 1 year.
