TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is experiencing delays in their DTV visa application processing after submitting documents on April 21st, and receiving requests for additional documentation on the 22nd. The community suggests that the upcoming Reunification Day and Labour Day holidays in Vietnam may impact embassy operations and processing times. Be glad you applied through Hanoi at least since the HCM embassy seem to only work about 3.5 hours a day based on Google. Sweet job if you can get it

He rest of the week is holiday in Vietnam. Will embassy be working?

@Greg *******
They're working on weekends in Hanoi as indicated by the number of approvals and rejections lately. However, Apr 30, May 1 and May 5 are all holidays in either VN or TH. These are holidays but given someone is working overtime I'm guessing they will still be processing applications.

Anonymous participant 819 They might be processing. Depends if Ambassador approves holiday working and overtime pay. It's a tourist visa. There is no urgency.

Anonymous participant 819 exactly. They’re definitely working on weekends and holidays otherwise people wouldn’t be getting approval and denial emails on weekends and holidays

Honoi embassy also work on weekends and holidays with limited staff

Anonymous participant 252 It is up to the local embassy. Ambassador signs off who works. If they are just sitting around why not have them process visa applications?
