Be glad you applied through Hanoi at least since the HCM embassy seem to only work about 3.5 hours a day based on Google. Sweet job if you can get it

He rest of the week is holiday in Vietnam. Will embassy be working?

@Greg *******
They're working on weekends in Hanoi as indicated by the number of approvals and rejections lately. However, Apr 30, May 1 and May 5 are all holidays in either VN or TH. These are holidays but given someone is working overtime I'm guessing they will still be processing applications.Greg ********
Anonymous participant 819 They might be processing. Depends if Ambassador approves holiday working and overtime pay. It's a tourist visa. There is no urgency.

Anonymous participant 819 exactly. They’re definitely working on weekends and holidays otherwise people wouldn’t be getting approval and denial emails on weekends and holidays
