Is it necessary to visit Chiang Wattana Immigration for an official stamp after the 30-day exemption stamp expires with the new emergency extension to July?

30day exemption stamp expires on April 29th— With this new proposal to emergency extensions till end July, is it necessary to travel to Chiang Wattana Immigration for an official stamp??

Also, even though it "hasn't been posted in the royal gazzel" doesn't mean it's not offical.

if there are flights available to your home country, you must take them. The exception is for those who cannot get international fights to there home counties

just FYI at Chiang Mai immigration today I was told that this is not an official rule as of today ... 🤦‍♀️
