TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can extend a 45-day visa exemption stamp for an additional 30 days. You do not need to have registered your residence for the initial extension. However, if you intend to apply for a further extension related to Covid, some immigration offices might require proof of residence. Make sure to bring necessary documentation and a fee of THB 1,900 when you visit the immigration office.
okay, well try to get your tm30 signed but if not, just go for it.

You normally don’t need an address registration for the initial extension of 30 days for either exemption or TR- which means you can do it anywhere. If you opt to go for a further Covid extension then many offices will require one.
