TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual from Nepal describes a situation where they were asked to pay an exorbitant amount for a business visa change in Thailand, only to be demanded more money later and told they wouldn't receive a refund due to alleged losses incurred by the scammer. The community responses suggest that this is likely a scam, advising the individual to refrain from sending more money and to trust no one in similar situations.

Unfortunately, you have been scammed by your fellow countryman. If you know his native place in Nepal, you can find his family and pressurize them to get your money back. For now, cut your losses and don’t send any new money.
