I have one question about the retirement visa. Could you please confirm that the only rule to deposit 800.000 thb is to come from a bank account abroad? The foreign account from which the money comes must have the same name as the Thai account or, for example, the spouse can transfer money on it ? Thanks a lot.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The main query is about the requirement of depositing 800,000 THB for a retirement visa in Thailand, specifically whether the funds must come from a foreign bank account in the applicant's name or if a spouse can transfer funds. Responses highlight that immigration offices may have varied rules and that verifying requirements directly with local immigration is essential. Some emphasis is placed on recent tightening of rules, and it's noted that shared accounts with a spouse may only count for 50% of the total required amount.
