So I applied for the DTV on October 12 Washington DC. They came back today and asked for my most recent pay stub and that was it. Is that a good sign? Or could they come back and ask for something else?
Answer summary
The user applied for the DTV visa and received a request for their most recent pay stub, prompting them to inquire whether this is a positive indication of their application status or if further documentation might be requested later. Community responses indicated that while receiving a request for a pay stub can be viewed positively, immigration authorities retain the discretion to request additional documentation at any stage of the application process.

I had a similar situation. Pay stub and recent year taxes (didn’t include it cause I hadn’t filed yet). Sent them what I had and got approved.
I applied for the DTV on October 24 at the Washington DC consulate as well. So far, my status reads ‘Pending document check’.
I submitted a police background check from the local police station but I have been seeing posts that say it has to be from the FBI. If that is the case, where do I go to get that?
i got mine done at Printscan. They are nationwide. If you dont have one then try the post office. From what I understand it must he a FBI background check. They Wil not accept local or state.
Michael Vincent Btw, good luck with your application. I have been seeing posts that say they take about 21 days so you should get yours right around the time of the elections, which would be good for you if things go south with the election. 😎😎😎
