How strict is inmmigration at Suvarnabhumi with the proof of funds thing?

Flying to Bangkok (from Vietnam) in a couple of weeks to catch another flight the day after arrival in Bangkok to Spain.

We have onward ticket outside the country and hotel reservations for the night inbetween flights, all other requirements are good; but besides maybe logging into my bank's app and showing the officer whats on the account I don't think I'll be able to produce a funds statement in any other way. This would be our 2nd visa extemption entry to Thailand this year, travelling on a Spanish passport (in case that matters)

Thank you all for your advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion explores the strictness of immigration at Suvarnabhumi Airport concerning proof of funds. Travelers note that while they have not personally been asked for proof of funds, carrying cash (10,000 Baht or equivalent) as a precaution is advisable, especially for those with a history of extended stays in Thailand. With onward tickets and hotel reservations, the consensus is that the likelihood of facing issues is low, but carrying cash can alleviate concerns.

I've never had them ask for proof of funds personally.

With onward tickets days after you land - I can't see any problems

That was my thinking but you know, each immigration post is a little bit different, some more strict some other very lax so just in case.

Few million people entered Thailand this year and I have seen less than 50 complaints from people living in Thailand with much more entries in their passport, so I would say do not worry. EDIT: did not check any profile, living in Chang Mai, so do worry.

The computer system will show all your history entering and leaving Thailand, not only the last Visa Exempt Entry stamp. But with ticket next day back to Spain I think it would be no problem if they start asking questions but be prepared and have the funds just in case.

Yeah I don't live there anymore.

Not that strict, but if you have a history of staying long term in thailand (profile says you live in CM), then you should carry 10k baht or currency equivalent, just in case

yeah, its cash they wanted to see, not statements or credit cards for the 2 reports ive heard where guys were detained and forced to fly elsewhere: Only 2 out of thousands of daily arrivals.....so really the chance of being asked is very low, but as the outcome was pretty severe, for me, as a long term tourist, i will make sure i carry the cash.

Yeah I spent 5 months in CM at the beginning of the year but I'm in Vietnam atm. 10k baht cash wont be an issue, a bank account slip proving funds would be...hence my worry. thanks Jon
