🌟Hi i came initially on a visa waiver from

the USA

then i did an extension for 30 days

then i left (one day late) and flew back in for another waiver of 30 days

🌟now i have left again - currently in Langkawi overnight - i want to fly back but also want to avoid airport now due to the virus

- my question is if i come back by boat to satun thailand - would i get 15 days more or a whole new 30 day waiver

i was told 15 days by land by immigration officer prior at the satun (wang?) border

- but i’m not sure he meant that in all cases of waivers

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the duration of the visa waiver they would receive upon re-entering Thailand by boat from Langkawi, considering they have previously used visa waivers but heard conflicting information about the length of the new waiver. Comments clarified that all visa exempt entries are now for 30 days regardless of the mode of entry.

okay there is NO such thing as a 15 day visa exempt entry

They are all 30 days now. Also there is no such thing as a water arrival. That is considered entering by LAND. There are TWO ways to enter thailand, air and land. :)

no the chinese are all coming for new years - thailand is popular destination for them-

there’s airport screenings as it’s already passed by travelers from

china - some

from the original area but now there’s cases in US and thailand etc

and the medical workers have contracted it also

it just takes one to get by

but at least thailand is screening at the airport

i don’t think all asian countries are screening at the airport

airports are enclosed spaces so it’s risker
