How long does it take to get a Thai visa approved when applying from Laos?
Did anyone apply in Laos recently and can tell me how long it takes to get it approved?
Answer summary
The approval for a Thai visa applied from Laos generally takes longer due to mandatory in-person interviews at the consulates in Vientiane and Savannakhet. Applicants may experience a wait of at least a week for the interview after submitting their application. It's advisable to plan for a stay of around two weeks to ensure all processes, including payment and interviews, are completed.

Takes longer to get the interview because BOTH Vientiane and Savannakhet have mandatory in person interviews at the consulates before they approve the visa
Some people reported a week wait (or more) for the interview after they submitted the application and then went in person to pay for the visa (which is another thing you have to do at those consulates)
I'd say plan on a 2 week stay and you should be okay
