ResilientLlama2982 That's my understanding as well. We're facing the possibility of needing to rebook our travel and lodging because they decided to add 6-10 weeks to a Visa Approval process that normally takes 10-20 days. I have no issue with them requiring a background check. My issue is they gave 72 hrs notice for a change that adds 6-10 weeks, meaning they've messed up a bunch of people's timelines for a reflexive action that could have been thoughtfully scheduled instead.

That’s what google told me. It cost me $165 to have it expedited which is still 15-20 days. I’m back in thailand waiting for it. I didn’t want to stay in U.S. longer than i had to. I fly back on 3 OCT to submit my DTV.

ok I’m seeing mixed information. I was told the fbi background check has the official fbi watermark. I was going to do the apostille as a just in case. But I’m on a tight schedule. I may need to put off my application until I have this in hand. I only planned to be in the US long enough to apply and wait for approval. But if I have to wait on this. That changes things. I live in Kuwait and I’m waiting on my husband to quit his job, so I’m about to bounce back and forth until we move to Thailand. I think I may apply without it and if they ask for it then so be it, I’ll apply again. Thanks for sharing your story pal!!James ********
