Continuing to find ways to show foreign transfers to immigration…. A Swift payment from First Direct in UK directly to Bangkok Bank shows up as follows in Bangkok Bank. Does immigration recognise this as a overseas foreign transaction.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the challenges of proving foreign transfers to Thai immigration, particularly how the notation on bank statements from different banks affects their acceptance. Users suggest obtaining a credit advice form from Bangkok Bank, taking screenshots or emailing bank statements, and acquiring the MT 103 document for validation. There are concerns about how the BAHTNET notation indicates an internal transfer rather than an international one, and recommendations for using specific forms to confirm the origin of funds for immigration purposes. One user expressed frustration regarding the costs associated with documentation and transfer fees while seeking more cost-effective solutions.
just put 800,000 in your account and be done with it

Maybe a silly question can you not provide the bank statement from the uk with the Thai bank statement to prove that the money sent using the uk bank statement and the Thai bank statement where it is received will that work
ask your bank yep your bank knows and the letter/statement reflects this....well my bank does

Wow, I always try to copy the exact language that the immigration department of Thailand wants and this notation is not close to what I used in the past. When I moved to Swift transfer this month as wise had become an interThailand transfer, the notation I had provided to be accompanied with the swift transfer, did not exist in the Siam commercial bank deposit notation. When I question Siam commercial bank about this lack of notation they referred me to a specific form which I would imagine it's the same as the other commentators. So that's 300×12 3600baht for forms plus my swift transfer was a 3% hit on the exchange rate of my $65,000 baht transfer is $70 X 12, which is $840 +3600 baht for the paperwork. Anybody come up with a cheaper way of moving money successfully in September 2025?
Thank you Sean. My problem is the trust that I can continue to make ฿65,000 deposits not only to finish out this year but for the next year. How long will wise be able to continue its exemption by transferring directly in K Bank?
thank you. I am looking for clear disclosures by the bank without extra paperwork or requests for understanding by Immigration. Please let us know how it goes 😊

If the payment came from a BAHNET origin it means the its internally sent inside Thailand from a third party bank, you need to ask your Thai bank to complete a FET form or Foreign Transaction Form, they send to the Third party bank and supply the details of the payments orgin. It cost 300thb and probably takes 2 weeks or so. You should find out from First Direct why its not swift transfer.
need to talk your sending bank and confirm where the transfer was sent in detail and ask your bank where the transfer came from? Maybe the miscode is in the BAHNET system.
