TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about locating a list of schools and soft power activities in Pattaya certified for the DTV visa. However, community comments indicate that no such comprehensive list exists, as the Royal Thai Police Immigration Bureau does not certify schools for DTV visas, which are issued by Thai Embassies outside of Thailand. Furthermore, it is suggested that shorter courses leading to a Non-Immigrant ED Visa might be more appropriate for those interested in learning, rather than pursuing a long-term DTV visa.

Thai immigration doesn't issue DTV visas. DTV visas are only issued by the Royal Thai Embassy or General Consulate. You must apply from a location outside Thailand. There are no such things that Thai immigration certifies or recognises. Soft Power must be tied to local Thai culture (not ac language and spirituality), such as cooking classes and Muay Thai.

I do not think anyone has created any list. Too much hassle for what return? Off top of my head I think a couple of Muay Thai Gyms and a cooking school in Pattaya Area. (Although that does not come up in a search now).

The Royal Thai Police Immigration Bureau has NOTHING to do with issue of the DTV and nothing to do with certifying schools.

IF you want to learn, enroll in a University and get 4 years of college.

If you want a short term course, find a school who provide what you want to learn and get the Non Immigrant ED visa or any other legal stay.

There is NO need for a 5 year Visa to learn 1 day cooking.

Hi Robert, thanks for your answer. I'm a bit confused though... Based on what you said, what is the point of creating a dtv Visa with eligible soft power activities including attending classes? Did i miss anything (i've read a lot since more than a year on this topic).

Thank you very much.

You apply for the DTV using an Embassy which is part of the Ministry of Foreign affairs.

You like to study at a school which is part of the Ministry of Education.

Yes, there are different types of soft power, but going to school can be done on any legal stay in Thailand.

As you might know, tourist during their holiday and in Thailand on a 60 day Visa Exempt Entry, love to visit Thai cooking schools for a day.

So get the correct visa for the purpose of your stay, I think for a 1 day cooking class, the DTV is a little over the top.

I'm now on a non-O Visa, as i was last year when i came to visit my thaï partner as i do this year. I don't know why you assume from my first post that i'm on 60 day Visa exempt entry and that i would only attend 1 day of cooking school. I just want to spend more than 90 days but not more than 180 next year when visiting my partner. Isn't Dtv a good option for this ? Thank you very much.

But if you are eligible for a Non-O visa it seems to me the simplest thing for you to do would be to get a 12 month extension of stay each year then you can come and go as much as you please

the DTV has no option for visiting a partner. If you want to get a DTV to apply for one of the soft power activities then decide what activity you want to do then look for an approved provider in the area you want to be

you're doing it the wrong way round. Better to choose an activity you will enjoy. If you don't care as to the activity its better you go with the Non-O
