Hello, I’m planning to apply for the DTV Visa (Soft Power) for Muay Thai training. I would like to do it in Vietnam.

Does it make a difference where in Vietnam I apply for it?

And if yes, can anyone recommend a good location in Vietnam where the application process for the DTV Visa is smooth or reliable?

Thank you in advance for your help! šŸ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV Visa (Soft Power) for Muay Thai training can be applied for at two Thai consulates in Vietnam, located in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. It does not significantly matter where in Vietnam you apply, as you can choose the nearest embassy based on your location. Feedback suggests that both consulates have similar policies and efficiency in processing applications.

We have done about 100 in Vietnam, both embassys seem to have the same policy's and timeliness. They are not difficult embassys to deal with and if they request further documents its usually reasonable and achievable.

Good luck

You can live anywhere in Vietnam and choose the closest embassy online. If you are in Hanoi/ Sapa = Hanoi embassy

If you are in HoChiMinh/ Danang/ Hoi An = HoChiMinh embassy
