TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires whether residency in Malaysia is required to apply for a Thai SE TV visa at the Thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Comments provide updates on application procedures following changes in 2019, specifically mentioning the need for online appointments if applying after February 1, 2019, and additional resources for visa forms.

If you go there after 1 Feb 2019 you need to make an on-line appointment to apply for the visa, if you go before you can walk in to apply between 09:30 and 11:30 and collect your visa the next working day between 14:30 and 16:30. You must have a filled in application form and a checklist, ticked and signed. To be helpful, here is the link to download both forms.

It may sound strange but the Thai Embassy in KL is updating their website regular and very quickly when things change. Better info than on their site, you will not find.

Thanks Robert, I have used both google for info and search feature on this page. I’ve found tons of info that was very helpful, but was just hoping for recent direct Info from people incase I was missing something .

I know you can find this list and link to requirements multiple times using the search function on this page. But don't be hard on our members, it is hard enough to make all those visa runs.
