Do Muay Thai schools need a special license for DTV visa applications in Thailand?

Where are you going to be living in Thailand?

Be sure that you use a Muay Thai training gym which has successfully sponsored those who are applying for the DTV visa and provided the correct requirements.

Not any school can sponsor your DTV application

There is no specific document stating that a school is "dtv certified" the school needs to be registered with the relevant authorities and as a business

Yes the school needs approval and they have to ensure you’re training there too as immigration are starting to check on this. If you want a school that’s had a lot of successful applicants, take a look at

Yes they have to but it’s not hard. Many visa agencies will also jump at the opportunity to partner & basically do the work for a Muay Thai gym. I was present recently at a gym in Isaan with one approaching with 40-50 clients from one specific country alone.

The smarter gyms will learn how to do this themselves or basically hire on/partner with a visa agent. Why you see so many big commercial resort like places offering rooms/shared rooms/hotels offering this. It’s became a business.

But it’s also possible for you to do it, the school to do what they need to on their end, etc.

Yes. The school you choose has to be approved as a DTV sanctioned school.
