Can I wait in Thailand for my DTV visa approval or do I need to stay in my home country?
Update: I got a hold of someone at NY consulate on Instagram and they told me I could wait in Thailand till my visa came and leave and come back with new visas. (DTV dependant). That being said my visa came in at 4:57. 3 minutes before offices closed. 😅
Answer summary
The user received confirmation from the NY consulate that they could remain in Thailand while waiting for their dependent DTV visa approval, and they successfully received their visa shortly after. However, there was mixed feedback in the comments, with some suggesting that waiting in the country could lead to visa cancellation, while others shared their experiences obtaining visas from different consulates.

Wrong, you can get your visa cancelled doing that, you should wait where you applied until your visa gets approved or rejected. You can get your visa cancelled doing that
