Hi guys :)Tourists from Italy dont need a visa to stay in Thailand less than 30 days. I have a return ticket for Bangkok 30th Jan / 14th March. I won't stay 45days in thailand, but i already bought tickets to Manila (10th Feb / 1st March), where i will spend 20 days prior to come back to Bangkok and then leave, so my total stay in Thailand will be less than 30 days. Do i still need a tourist visa? Will my ticket to Manila be valid as proof?
Thanks,
Giorgio

TLDR : Answer Summary
Italian tourists do not need a visa for stays under 30 days in Thailand. Upon entry from Italy, Giorgio will be stamped in for 30 days and will not require a visa since he plans to travel to Manila for 20 days before returning to Thailand. His return ticket to Manila can serve as proof of his travel plans.

When you first arrive into Thailand, you will be STAMPED in for 30 days as Visa Exempt Entry.
That can be extended for ADDED 30 days extension.... however you are going to Manila... so not needing to get a 30 day extension of stay.
Then when you return to Thailand from Manila you will again be STAMPED in for 30 days... and that can be extended for ADDED 30 days extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office for 1,900 Thai baht.
