Hey guys and gals, quick question. I’ve been here several years, I always keep 400k in my bank account for my Non-O marriage to a Thai. My question is if I deposit , say, 45k into my bank every month does it have to be an international transaction, or can it be a transfer
from another Thai bank ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the necessity of depositing international transactions to meet the financial requirements for their Non-O marriage visa in Thailand. Responses suggest contacting the local immigration office for clarification, as policies may vary. Some commenters mention that international transfers might be required to validate monthly income, while others highlight that continuous residency with the required bank balance is vital for visa extensions.

In Ratchaburi province, for that specific visa, the requirement is to deposit B65k per month for the previous 12 consecutive months. I’m just staying with the B400k in my Thai bank account earning zero interest.
if it's a retirement visa/extension it is irrelevant if you are married or not. For that it is 800K/65K. For a marriage visa/extension it's irrelevant if you are retired or not. For that it is 400K/40K.
even if your immigration office allows you to use overseas income for an extension of stay based on marriage you need to transfer the money from overseas monthly, you can't miss a month or transfer double one month to average out. Best to stick with the 400k but you don't need to keep it in the bank all year. Once you have your extension you can withdraw it as long as you replace it 2 months before you apply for the next extension
It certainly looks like the easiest way I have been reading some people sending money from overseas have not had it identified as international transfer. It has put me off , I'll just keep the money in the bank. Imagine trying to explain that to the immigration officer.
I receive a monthly VA payment. It’s on the last day of the month, but depending on the month sometimes I get paid 0,1, or twice. So I don’t qualify for the one payment every month.
I thought I heard that if it’s for a Non-O marriage , where the money comes from wasn’t important
for the financial proof for an extension of stay permit based on being married to a Thai wife, consecutive monthly transfers of a minimum of 40,000 THB equivalent need to be coming from abroad month for month not missing out one single month. Unless you have a work permit and earn income inside Thailand
If the immigration office in question accepts monthly transfers of income or pension from abroad as grounds for an extension of stay based on marriage, it will most likely also require that the transfer be recorded as an international transaction. While some applicants have managed to achieve this when using Wise, it is something you will need to verify independently.
