Hello all, I will be applying for a non immigrant O-A visa soon. But there is an issue apart from the visa procedures that I am not so sure about. I would be very greatful if you could enlighten me please.

After I get the visa, do I need to have an onward ticket out of Thailand in order to board the plane to Kingdom and is an onward ticket out of Thailand is also required for entry into Kingdom by immigration. Thank you all for your attention.

TLDR : Answer Summary
No onward ticket is required for entry into Thailand with a non-immigrant O-A visa. Upon arrival, travelers with this visa will receive a stamp valid for one year or until their health insurance policy ends. It is advisable to carry printed documentation of the visa and health insurance when passing through immigration.

For a Non OA visa entry an onward ticket is not required. You’ll be stamped in for one year or however long your insurance is valid until.

If you have proof of your OA visa for retirement, there's NO need to show a ticket departing Thailand. You will be stamped in for one year from your arrival date... or to the ending date of your health insurance policy.

Be sure to carry with you a print out of the PDF visa you received from the Thai Embassy or Consulate in your email.

And Carry with you a print out of the health insurance certificate proof to show Thai Immigration Officers if asked.
