Do I need a round-trip ticket or is a one-way ticket acceptable for traveling back to Thailand with a DTV?

Hello everyone. I can't remember this, so I came here to ask. I have been back to the US for about three months now, and since I have the DTV, going back to Thailand, do I need to buy a round-trip ticket, or a one-way ticket should be ok and cause me no problems? I plan to go to BKK, maybe connecting to CNX. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling back to Thailand with a Dependent Visa (DTV), you can use a one-way ticket without issues. If the airline requests proof of onward travel, showing your DTV should suffice. If they remain unsatisfied, consider purchasing a bus ticket to a neighboring country as a backup.

I've only used one way tickets so far.

One way is fine. If the airline you take asks to see round-trip or onward travel show them your DTV. If they still arent satisfied, jump on your phone and buy a bus ticket to Laos or something.
