Hi. I'm from Poland and want to apply through the embassy in Warsaw. I have a question: can I use a bank statement confirming my 500,000 TBH account balance instead of a statement? I have the money in term deposits, and they don't appear on my statement.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters is that term deposits are generally not acceptable to prove the required bank balance for a Thai visa application. It is advised to show the funds in an immediately accessible bank account instead. To get the most accurate information, contacting the Thai embassy in Warsaw directly is recommended.

did you mean you can show your investments account in your name so long as they see you have the min requirement for DTV? In US, a regular bank is only for cash deposits. No bonds or stock assets are allowed.
I think you might be misunderstanding what I said. I said I showed my bonds as an extra step, to show that I have more than the required 500k. I showed the 500k in a normal checking account AND a printout of my bonds statement ☺️
Yes, it's a deposit I can terminate with a single click in the mobile app, and the funds are returned to my account. It's a standard 3-month bank deposit. If I terminate it early, the entire capital is returned to me.
penalty is the interest you haven't received yet, the principal is guaranteed and that's the number on the statement. Immigration in Thailand usually accept these type of accounts too, the money is instantly accessible and the only penalty is interest.
stocks there is a risk of capital loss, it's a fundamentally different thing. This is a bank account with no risk of capital loss. That you may forfeit interest on matters why? They say they want a bank account. This is a bank account.
