Can anyone please clarify wether multiple supporting documents can be uploaded one after the other on the eVisa website? When I click to add a new file, it seems to be replacing the previous one. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The eVisa website currently does not allow the uploading of multiple individual documents separately; instead, users are advised to combine all necessary documents into a single PDF file before uploading. Recommended methods include using PDF merging software like PD Fill or various free online tools that allow users to merge multiple PDFs into one.

Just make a PDF with the 2 files you want as one.

I do this with our wedding certificate and my wife's name change certificate.

I use free software called PD Fill. This is free software that allows you to add documents to a single pdf file. This option is available in the tools application. There are numerous similar tools to work with pdf files, PD Fill is ok. I think this is for PC only. Search it on Google if you are interested.
