I'm about to apply for a Workcation DTV from the Los Angeles Consulate. I have all of my documents together. My question is should I create one large pdf of all of the documents together to submit everything at once or do I submit each document separately? i.e. passport biodata page, driver's license, employment certification and 6 months of bank statements. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Workcation DTV visa from the Los Angeles Consulate, it's advised to follow the evisa website's guidelines for document submission. You should upload each required document as a separate file per section, including the passport biodata page, a recent photo, driver's license, employment certification, and 6 months of bank statements. Employment certification and bank statements can be submitted as merged PDFs, as long as they do not exceed the size limit of 3MB.

The website will tell which docs to upload but it basically breaks down as follows

- Passport biodata page: Single document

- Current photo: Single document

- Driver's license: Single doc

- Employment certification: Single file of merged documents that are necessary (<3MB)

- 6 months of bank statements: Single pdf of the merged statements (<3MB)

A. Nony Mous Are there any other docs besides the employment certificate that they are asking for? I have a signed letter on letterhead stating I can work remotely from Thailand.

A. Nony Mous That’s really helpful, thanks. I’ll add a few months of payroll statements to the letter.

If your employment packet gets to be >3MB use ilovepdf.com to compress it.

For workcation, each case is different so its hard to say. One thing they really may want to see are payroll statements for a couple of months. Anyone could get a letter from someone saying they work for the company and can work from Thailand. Maybe add a couple of months of those into the employment certification packet. For that packet, I would add a cover letter breaking down what you are giving them. I went through the LA consulate as well, but on soft power (cooking school), and got approved in less than an hour. So if you do a good job of putting your application together you could see a quick approval! Good luck!

A. Nony Mous Thanks! That’s what I thought, but I’ve seen posts advising people to put everything together and I just wanted to make sure.

If you go to the evisa website you will see the workflow. The main sections where documents are required allow you to upload one single document per section.

you can do a test/dummy application, just don't pay or submit it. Then start another real application to complete and create the application. The dummy application will automatically be removed after a couple weeks.
