Hi guys, sorry if this has been covered already. I'm currently on a non Ed visa that expires on 7th September. I am getting married in early August does anyone know if it's possible to switch from a non Ed to a non o in the country at the moment? Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ˜Š

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about switching from a Non-ED visa to a Non-O visa while remaining in the country, especially after getting married. Responses indicate that it's possible to apply for an extension based on marriage, but it's essential to verify all requirements before proceeding. Additionally, there are questions about the process of cancelling the current visa and whether this can be done in a different province.

@Robert ******
thanks, very informative. Can I do this without leaving the country? Also my extension of stay was granted in BKK, do you know if I can cancel it in another province?
Robert *******
You can cancel it and apply for a new Extension at the Immigration Office where your address is registered,

But as you go school in Bangkok, I hope you do not live to far away

I guess if you look in the passport you see a big stamp, with on top the location of the Immigration Office and in line 2 Extension of Stay permitted up to 7 Sep 2020.

As this is not a visa you can cancel this extra stay with a letter from your school and directly apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay based on being married with a Thai National,

Before you cancel, make sure and double check that you meet all the requirements and can get this new Extension of Stay
