Can I still apply for a tourist visa at the Thai embassy in London in person?
? if you are an old technophobe like me can you go in person to the thai embassy in london and get tourist visa done like in the days gone by??
Answer summary
No, you cannot apply for a tourist visa in person at the Thai embassy in London anymore. All visa applications are now handled online through the e-visa system. Access to the embassies is restricted, and non-Thais are not allowed past the front gate.

There used to be a small office in Liverpool city centre where you could go & get your visa. It closed down about 10 years ago

It's no longer an option. All visa matters are handled online through the e-visa system. They don't even let non-Thais past the front gate of the embassies anymore.

someone posted in this group that they where asked to attend an interview in London for tourist visa applicationBrandon ************
Johnooo22 if you're summoned to the embassy then yes you can go there. But you can't just go there on your own. Visa interviews are initiated by the embassy when they want to verify that you're in the country.

Heather Lough we loved to go to Hull or Liverpool, an enjoyable day out and the staff were wonderful, it was done there and then and we came out with our visa, never a problem. We hate having to do everything on line.
