Is there anyone who has renewed a non B early? Like 3 months early? I'm going to the USA and would like the option of not being forced to return just to renew my visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the challenges of renewing a Non-B visa early, particularly the difficulties faced by expats in Thailand. Participants confirm that typically, renewal can only be done a few days before expiration, and recommend applying for a new visa while in the USA or returning to Thailand before the current visa expires. There are concerns about maintaining uninterrupted extensions for residency or citizenship purposes, highlighting the importance of continuous visa validity.

I think you're not gonna be able to get a new extension that early before your current extension expires BUT the only way you will know is to slog on over to your immigration office with proof you're gonna be outta the country when it expires and see if they'll do it.
Otherwise as people suggested; you either come back before it runs out and apply for a new extension OR you buy a new Non-B visa from the thai consulate in your country before you come back.

These days they're not even allowing 3 weeks early. Two solutions 1) apply for a new visa while you're in the US 2) coming back to renew your extension.

FYI... Posted on July 12th
"Hello all, I have a work permit and Non-B. My non-B expires 4th of December.
I am planning to go to USA. Because of the situation in Thailand, I would like to have the option of coming late as possible.
If I get a re-entry permit and then while in the USA get a new non-b visa. and arrive by 4 December, am I good? I understand I will need to get the 1-year extension. But will this count as a gap?
My other options-
I arrive close to 3 weeks before expiration, do quarantine or sandbox, and then get my visa renewed for another year.
I arrive with just a few days left and do sandbox - can I renew my non-b in Phuket even though I live in Bangkok? If I cant renew my visa in Phuket can I send my passport to Bangkok and have it done without my being present?"
depends how important and uninterrupted non b extension is. For PR and Citizenship unbroken extensions are required. So getting a new Visa and letting your extension lapse means that clock will start again.

Seeing as you live in Bkk, they are only allowing you to extend 3 DAYS before your required date.
