TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about renewing a visa for their Thai girlfriend instead of going through the paperwork process again, due to previous experiences with a 6-month and a 2-year visa. The comments indicate some confusion regarding whether the question pertains to Thai visas or UK visas, with suggestions about possibly applying for a 10-year tourist visa to reduce paperwork.
You can avoid the paperwork by applying for a 10 year tourist visa to avoid keep applying every trip, if the embassy is issuing visas at this time. You can travel in and out as many times as you like but each trip, she can only stay 6 months.
think he is asking about a visa for his girlfriend to go to the UK, not a visa for himself to enter Thailand. This may not be the best place to ask this question although some Brits may be able to help
I have already advised him, so you are wrong. My wife has a 10 year tourist visa for the same reason, that it is a pain to apply each trip as we sometimes travel 2-3 times a year on the spare of the moment.
