TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires whether it's possible to obtain a re-entry permit and travel outside of Thailand during the 21-day "under consideration" period for their marriage visa application. Several commenters suggest that it's wise to ask the immigration officer about travel plans at the time of application, as a home visit may be conducted during this period. One commenter shares their positive experience with obtaining a re-entry permit while ensuring the immigration office was informed of their travel.

I have done it before but also let them know when putting the application in. It wasn't a problem for me and just got a re-entry permit and few comments on my return as the time was up the following day of my return. It is important to check incase you are down for a home visit.

Since they are the ones deciding whether you get the said visa or not, it might be à good idea to ask them.... Just à thought

You should ask at the time of application, as they might want to do a home visit. That will be your only opportunity to ask.
