TLDR : Answer Summary
Under the Test & Go program in Thailand, travelers can leave the country after taking the RT-PCR test on Day 1, without needing to remain in Thailand until Day 5. However, it is necessary to upload a departure ticket when applying for the Thailand Pass. There is no requirement for a second RT-PCR test on Day 5 if you choose to leave early.

I think most countries make you test to go home. You will most likely need 2 test either way.

You can leave and won’t need to book day 5.

You will still need to book and pay the day 5 test for the TP

Can't understand the responses to this post, perhaps the guy is staying a few days "in transit", I have done the same thing in the past, usually to break up the trip.

, originally the final destination is to Laos. But Laos flights are not posted on any website. Being in Thailand for more than 24hrs and I am required to do the whole nine, so I mind as well enjoy for 7 days there.

@Alan ******
you take the risk of testing positif while " in transit"...yes, that would really break up the trip.

Each to their own, perhaps people are over the last two years and want to travel. They shouldn't be questioned over their intentions.

Why struggle to get thailand with all the tests and leave before day 5?
Kanit ***************
You can leave before day 5 and don’t need to take 2nd RT-PCR test.

You will need to upload departure ticket when applying Test&go Thailand pass

, if I don’t have to stay for 7 days quarantined, i won’t. Catching a flight ✈️ to Laos 🇱🇦. But if I have to stay for the 5th test I will enjoy my visits in Thailand 🇹🇭

, I already did the whole Thai Pass, I booked the 7 days hotel etc… Since I already paid for 7 nights, I’m think just enjoy my time there. If I’m bored, I might want to leave, who knows.
Danny ********
But please don't take my advice, i have been bunkered down for the last 2 years waiting for this to blow over. I really do respect the people putting in all the effort, time and money to get back here.

if your bored in Thailand don't you think you would get more excitement in Cambodia instead of Laos and not sure but i think they only have a land border open to Laos as to i am pretty sure they have flights to Cambodia.

, I would go to Cambodia but didn’t check the requirements there. I am from Laos and still have family there.
