Bank Details...

(this might be a silly question, but...)

When you provide proof of funds, are you just giving them your statement. With your account number, sort code, address etc all visible?

Or do you black out all the numbers except the last four digits or something?

And the same goes for printing off your bank statements...

how do you do it without sending a stranger in a shop statements with all your bank details on it??

TLDR : Answer Summary
When providing proof of funds for a visa application to Thailand, opinions vary on whether to redact personal bank details. Some individuals have submitted statements as-is without redaction, particularly when dealing with embassies or consulates, while others recommend blacking out sensitive information such as account and routing numbers, retaining only the name, address, and account balance for clarity. It's important to ensure that your personal information is safeguarded during this process.

Thailand style, patong hospital once asked insurance policy to be sent via email to their gmail address :)

I gave as-is without redacting. It's an embassy / consulate.

so where did you print it out?

I’m not actually too worried about the embassy, but to print it out I have to go to a print shop and give them all my bank statements too

at home for some and through 7-11 print service for other docs.

I blacked out all the personal numbers on my statements which I think were the routing number and account number. The details I left visible are name, address, dollar amount.

also... how many months of funds did they want for the bank statements. I've seen some places want 6 months, and others as little as just one. But haven't heard anything about Hanoi

@George *****
I gave them 6. I think that's the requirement but didn't ask to confirm

You can book on their website. But I think they accommodate walk ins as well
