TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can apply for a DTV visa from Bali, although the processing is handled online by the embassy in Jakarta. Recent experiences indicate that the application must be completed online as walk-in services have been suspended. While applicants may not need to travel to Jakarta for initial submissions, an interview may be required at the royal Thai embassy if requested. Successful applicants have reported quick processing times without interviews, and it is advisable to print out the confirmation email as proof of your visa for travel.
yes you can apply from bali but in case you are invited for an interview you will have to visit the royal thai embassy in jakarta... Just got my DTV granted today from there :)
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
Anonymous participant did you have an onward ticket when you entered into Indonesia?

Yes you can apply from Bali however it's processed online by the embassy in Jakarta. Online is the only option anywhere because they stopped offering walk in service for DTV. I just went through this and my papers are being processed.
