Hi all, I've been trying to email the Thai Embassy in Rome for this information but I'm still yet to receive a reply so far after three emails, one per week for the last three weeks I thought I'd try asking my questions here. Some are pretty general and one is specific to the Embassy in Rome. It'll be a long post so I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to read and advise.
My first question is as a British National who spends most of his time in Libya, around 7 months of the year, and the remainder of his time in Thailand, am I able to apply for my Non O visa in Libya which uses the Rome Embassy due to no Embassy in Libya, if it helps I do have a residence visa in Libya.
My second question is applying for my Non O so I can legally spend as much time as possible in Thailand with my son, would I select the staying with Thai family option?
My Third question which is specific to the Thai Embassy in Rome is has anyone successfully applied for a visa and been accepted without having the money in there accounts for 3 months? I currently have the money but it's only been in my account for 5 weeks.
That's me finished, if you made it to here thanks very much!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A British national residing mostly in Libya is inquiring about the process of applying for a Non-O visa at the Thai Embassy in Rome due to the lack of an embassy in Libya. They are seeking guidance on whether they can apply for the visa from Libya, if the 'staying with Thai family' category is appropriate for their situation, and whether they can successfully apply for the visa without having the required funds in their bank account for three months.
