Good news. DTV holders can use the Fast-Track departure lines to skip the queues. According to the counter staff at BKK Suvarnabhumi airport this morning, a DTV is considered as a "Long Stay" visa and will be allowed through. Anyone tried using a DTV at Fast-Track lane at arrivals?

TLDR : Answer Summary
DTV visa holders can use Fast-Track departure lines at BKK Suvarnabhumi airport, as confirmed by airport staff. Experience shared by users shows varied queue lengths at the airport, with some suggesting that even visa-exempt travelers may access these lines under certain conditions. Discussions highlight the efficiency improvements at the airport and the importance of timely deboarding to minimize wait times. However, there are concerns about recent restrictions on Fast-Track access, particularly regarding the classification of the DTV as a long-stay visa compared to other visas.

They have implemented a lot of tech to help speed things up. If you make an effort to de board the plan quickly and get ahead of the slow walkers, you will likely have no queue

They have also put in a lot of new booths. The previous PM visited earlier in the year on a surprise visit and told them they use cut queues. I think target is 45 seconds per passenger. Last 2 times I flew international is was pretty quick in and out.

Used it multiple times yes, even a Visa exemption can use them from what i understand. Only if you need to buy re-entry stamp or you passport doesn’t have a chip you cannot 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am not talking about the auto-gates. Every departing passenger can use those auto-gates

Are you sure about this? They recently cut down on the people who can use fast-track. This will be interesting as the DTV is just a tourist visa. Not Elite, BOI or LTR etc.

yes I showed her my DTV and she let me in through Fast Track. She confirmed that it is considered a "long stay" visa

Not all long stay visa has fast track option. Only elite and business class.

Which "Fast-Track"? The one Business, First, BOI, etc use or just the new auto gates?

yes I was referring to the separate immigrations area at each end of Suvarnabhumi Airport that is reserved for Business, First, wheelchair access. There are now auto-gates in this as well as the regular departure area. DTV holders can use this Fast Track lane to leave the country

When I have left Fast-Track there (a number of times) the exit was ground floor where check-in are. No need to go upstairs to security and then downstairs again to immigration? Not don it since late 2022 so things might have changed.

yes that's it. There is a Fast Track area next to row A and the one I used near row W

Ah - not the "Fast Track" Business and First use then. Just the new automated gates.
