Holiday visa to Ireland was granted recently for TGF. It's a single entry Visa. Ireland is not a Schengen country. Can we go to different European countries or is she stuck and can't leave until visa expires?

If going from uk to the republic of Ireland a uk visa is all needed. If going the other way two visas are needed. Ireland is not a member of schengan so other countries will need that visa also.

You could try driving to uk via ferry,if you get turned around you’ve lost your ferry ticket.She’s going to be let back into Ireland as she has a visa. I took my Thai gf to Ireland from uk with uk visa , we got waved in by car both ways , didn’t need to get out of the car

My Thai wife has Irish residents permit but still doesn’t allow entry to any other country. We have to get a visit visa even for England.

Irish visa valid for Ireland only.

Pre-brexit it was easy to visit England/Scotland/Wales via ferry (though technically illegal) but these days they've really toughened up on this and I don't recommend trying it if someone was to recommend it. Anyone non-white tends to be picked out and asked for identification now.

She can leave before the visa expires. She's not a prisoner in Ireland. But she can't go to a country she doesn't have a visa for so if she wants to leave it's either back to Thailand or to a country that doesn't require a visa for Thai citizens.
